meeting with Pang

went to meet Pang this afternoon...we showed him what we have...and he told us some comments...
- we shld include the game timer
- adjust the lightings of the game
- we can include a function to allow the player to hide/show the mini-map
- the texture for the capsule machine shld change to a darker color

It seems OK when there is no colour...
However, after adding the colour it looks very...strange.

After 2nd presentation...

after our 2nd presentation...we had a short meeting with Pang....below is the minute of that meeting...

- Fix the frame rate
- swinging the weapon (animated)
- the model animation need to be very accurate
(eg: walking needs how many seconds)
- build 1 or 2 models to import to the game 1st
(no need to build to many, make the game works 1st)
- the rolling star can assume it is a long fix chain (no need to divide the chain into many balls)
- 場景
- hit points (attacking of the monsters)
- monster die and disappear
- shadow of the 3d models - can do it in Maya
(jump then the shadow will become smaller)
- status page
- sound/music
- dialog - can be done in the later part

Simple UI is created such as hp bar, minimap.
Monster is created as dummy, which only will move randomly
The weapon is succeeded in attaching on the player's hand.
The simulation of the weapon is rewrited, it is easier to control.

import 2D graphics using XML...

have been looking at the tutorial on converting XML content files in XNA...succussfully imported the 2d texture using this kind of method...



but what we need is to convert the XML content file to load the 3D models...

i will continue to work on it~~~
